Located 4,600 feet above sea level in Genting Highlands, Chin Swee Caves Temple is a tranquil and spiritually significant destination spanning 28 acres of rocky, wooded ground. The temple, which overlooks rolling green hills and the winding route to Genting Highlands, provides tourists with a calm refuge surrounded by swirling clouds and cool air, as well as breathtaking views of the Titiwangsa highlands.

Founded by Tan Sri Lim Goh Tong, the visionary behind Genting Highlands, the temple's construction took 18 years due to the difficult terrain, with much of the work done manually. The temple honours Reverend Chin Swee, a respected man from Fujian, China, who was famed for his supernatural skills. Here, visitors may explore a variety of sights within the temple grounds including the Pagoda Temple, SkyTerrace, sculptures of Guan Yin and Buddha, the 10 Chambers of Hell and the Bridge of Fairies, solidifying its place as both a spiritually and culturally important destination.

Awana SkyWay

The Awana SkyWay is an aerial gondola lift system that transports guests to Genting Highlands in approximately 10 minutes. There are 99 regular gondolas and 10 gondolas with glass floors. The cable cars ascend to a height of 620 metres, from where you can enjoy a spectacular view of the 130 million-year-old rainforest below.

The SkyWay, which opened in 2016, has 109 gondolas; 99 regular and 10 with glass flooring, with seats for 6 to 8 passengers apiece. The 10-minute ride includes a stop at the Chin Swee Station, where guests can explore the Chin Swee Caves Temple for free. The Awana SkyWay, which replaced the old 1977 cable car system, is currently the favoured way to Genting Highlands, a resort founded by Lim Goh Tong in 1965 and famed for its exclusive casino licence and continued growth since.
