What is Tasik Cermin?

Located near Gunung Rapat in Ipoh, Tasik Cermin can be found at the foot of some famous limestones of the city. This extraordinary lake is named Tasik Cermin after its beautiful reflection and it is due to its uniqueness that it was named one of the many geoparks by the Malaysian government.
There are two main lakes in Tasik Cermin; Tasik Cermin 1 Mirror Lake and Tasik Cermin 2 Hidden World. Hop onto boats that will take you on a great adventure through tunnels and past magnificent hills to capture the beauty of the lake. The ideal time to visit Tasik Cermin is in the morning, as the reflections are best viewed when the morning sun is at its brightest.
Things to do at Tasik Cermin
Tasik Cermin is home to numerous attractions for you to check out during your visit, the highlights being the two lakes, Tasik Cermin 1 and Tasik Cermin 2, which are a must-visit.







Tasik Cermin 2 Hidden World can only be explored by sailing on a boat. Tasik Cermin 2 is the perfect example of a hidden gem, as you will have to travel through a 130-metre-long water tunnel to reach the lake, a testament to Tasik Cermin 2 living up to its name; Hidden World.
At Tasik Cermin 2, you will find three key photo spots, so be sure to whip out your cameras to capture the perfect shot of the trees and hills beautifully reflected on the waters.




The Snake Mouth Cave is also another popular attraction at Tasik Cermin. Shaped like a snake’s throat, the cave invites you to journey along the walls whilst enjoying a close-up view of the limestones.
Feeling hungry? Stop by Kafe Lake View for a tasty snack. With a variety of local treats on offer, visitors can take a break while enjoying the refreshing breeze that comes through its scenic surroundings.

Getting to Tasik Cermin
Tasik Cermin is a 20-minute drive from Ipoh’s old town which is the city’s heart where you can find heritage buildings, authentic local food and much more. Unfortunately, there is no public transportation direct to Tasik Cermin for now. The best way to get here is by car, as Tasik Cermin has a large free parking facility. Alternatively, visitors can also opt for e-hailing services such as Grab and taxis to reach Tasik Cermin.
